Roderick Field is a qualified Psychosynthesis therapist (PGDip,(BACP) ) and EMDR practitioner, specialising in:

  • relationship - partners and family
  • childhood and its continuing influence
  • bereavement and loss
  • adoption and early trauma
  • addiction - roots and treatment
  • creative blocks

Roderick is a firm believer in the inner capacity of the individual as the source of personal development, recovery from addiction and the organic movement towards potential. He is fascinated by the power of family and social systems and their impact on the individual through unconscious rules. Thus his work focuses on illuminating these inner demands and seeking ways to move beyond them.

A continuing theme of relationship informs his work and development. Communication in all forms is a priority in his work and professional life, using photography, writing and therapeutic tools for expression and understanding.

Roderick is familiar with 12 step programmes, an advocate of Family Constellation work and deeply moved by the possibilities of newer techniques such as EMDR. He has written on the importance of therapy for photographers and holds the view that therapy is for the healthy.
